Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a self defense system designed to work with the principles of leverage and technique instead of brutal force and strength. The main focus of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is ground grappling, the most important but often neglected part of martial arts.

Code of Conduct

1. Brotherhood: Instructors shall reinforce the team spirit among students, parents, and other Instructors. Their attitude must always be positive and cooperative in order to channel their creative energy towards the strengthen and the growth of our team, always putting the team in front of individual selfish needs...

2. Cooperation: Instructors will work together to motivate students to be their best. At no time will an instructor talk negatively about other instructor or students. At tournaments the team will support each other by helping each other warm up and prepare of their matches.

3.Discipline: Students must discipline them selves to attend class on a consistent basis to insure progress towards their next belt rank. Student must understand that without discipline there is no mastery, neither in life or Jiu Jitsu, and without the willingness to sacrifice, excellence is not possible

4. Respect: BJJ Classes shall reinforce that students show respect towards other in and out of the dojo regardless of their differences in race, creed, gender, nationality, etc.. the belt rank hierarchy must be respected and the authority of Black Belt sincerely recognized.

5. Continuous Improvement and Growth: Instructors shall reinforce that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a life long journey with no ending point. Students should set their goal for black belt excellence and keep their goals in mind when training to help motivate them.

Head Instructor: Dan Cousineau

Dan is a 3 Degree Black Belt under Marcello Monteiro. Dan Has over 20 years of teaching experience. 

BIG John Kowaleski

John is Black Belt under Dan Cousineau at Dragon Martial Arts and Professor Marcello Monteiro. John is a great competitor and Instructor.

John has well over a decade of training and his teaching ability's are helping our students become outstanding Jiu-Jitsu athlete's. 

Calem Willis

Calem is a Brown Belt Coach at Dragon Martial Arts and former Pro MMA Fighter. Calem is one of the toughest guys I know, He's had to fight his whole life to improve his situation coming from very humble beginnings. He is now a loving father to a beautiful baby girl, New house, Beautiful girlfriend. Life is good.

Jared Morley

Jared is a Brown Belt couch at Dragon Martial Arts leading several of the Kids and Adult classes. Jared also has extensive Kickboxing experience.  

Nick McMaster

 Brown Belt

Nick is a very tough competitor and a very good couch, helping a lot of our newer students with their Jiu-Jitsu skills. 

Kelly Gleason

Brown Belt 

Kelly is a Blue Belt IBJJF Masters Worlds Champion.

What a pleasure to be around this guy, a decorated retired Marine, he is an amazing mentor to everyone in our Jiu-Jitsu program.

Aiden Lambrix

This young man is extremly talented winning several local tournaments. He is one of our assistant couches for the kids program.
